Goggles or Sunglasses...

Goggles or Sunglasses...that is the question.

Living in SkiTown U.S.A., home of "Champagne Powder" - the staff here at GoRover .com see it all. Locals and tourists alike hit the slopes under sunny as well as snow-filled skies.

Being locals, and carrying all the "on the slopes know-how" that comes with that title, we want to share a few secrets with anyone thinking of visiting Steamboat for their next ski vacation.

Sunglasses work great on the beach - they work great cruisin' around your town looking cool in your convertible... but kids, in a ski town, on a ski vacation - your sunglasses are better left in the room.

Here's why... we see your eyes watering as you ski, we see you struggle on a cloudy day with "dark" glasses on your face - not knowing if that's a tree in front of you or your brother, Sam. We see those flimsy little spectacles fly off your face with the smallest little fall...
We giggle. Sorry, but your ignorance is cute, even adorable.

See, GOGGLES are made for skiing. there's a reason we wear them. We can ski fast on a clear day and our eyes don't water. We can go out on an awesome powder day and because of the WAY-COOL lenses in our Goggles we can see as well as we do on a bluebird sunny day. And when we take the occasional little tumble, our goggles are usually right where we left them - protecting our eyes.

So, our tip of the day - from your friends at GoRover... plan on taking a ski vacation in Colorado?
Pack your ski pants, your wool socks, your HELMET (that's a story for another day if you are still wearing a HAT!) and your gloves... but leave those super-fly Wayfarers & 10 year old Vuarnets at home.

REAL SKIERS AND RIDERS WEAR GOGGLES!

Cheers from all your friends at the number one source for information and deals on your next Adventure Vacation!

See you on the hill,
